This 5-day course is designed to train SNCO’s and Company Grade Officers on how to develop a Personal Financial Management training program at the unit level. Topics covered include but are not limited to budgeting, debt reduction, credit management, consumer awareness, saving and investing and more. Participants will receive financial software designed to assist them with unit training and individual counseling needs.

A 5-day mandatory briefing to be taken no less than 90 days prior to a Service members’ End of Active Service (EAS) date. It’s recommended that separating Service members attend within 12 months and retiring Service members within 24 months. Spouses are also encouraged to attend. Enrollment for Service members and their spouses are done by the Service members’ Unit Transition Coordinator (UTC).

Pre-Retirement Seminar
This 5-day workshop fulfills the requirement for the Transition Readiness Seminar, however it is geared towards service members who will be retiring from active duty service. It is recommended that retiring service members attend this seminar two years prior to retirement and again within 6 months of retirement. Spouses are encouraged to attend.
