MCCS Weekly Happenings – 7 April

Here’s a look at some of what’s happening at Cherry Point this week:

    • Join us at the “We Dig Military Kids” Touch a Truck event as part of our Month of the Military Child celebration. Get an up close look at cool vehicles, take some pictures, then stop by the EFMP playground for a few trips down the slide. |

    • Register today for the virtual Sexual Assault Prevention & Awareness Month 5K. Participate any time between April 12-16. |

    • Learn about the Marine Corps guidelines for volunteerism, how to connect with opportunities, and how volunteering can help in leadership and employment. |

    • If you graduated or will graduate from a regionally or nationally accredited school between August 2019 and May 2021, you are invited to participate in the MCAS Cherry Point Ceremony. |

    • Learn more about volunteering within your unit through the Unit, Personal, and Family Readiness program. |

    • Save on some of your favorite national brands at the Main Exchange now through April 13. |

    • Call Semper Fit Health Promotion at 466-6467/6474 to schedule a 30-minute interactive class for your unit. |

    • Learn more about alcohol use disorder and ways to get help. Call 466-8413 for details. |

    • Registration for American Red Cross lifeguard training continues through May 5. A $150 registration fee is payable at the Aquatics office. |

    • This week’s movie showings at the Two Rivers Theater include the premiere of Boogie on Friday, Apr. 9. |

    • Letters of intent for intramural soccer are due by May 5. Get a team together and sign up soon. |

    • Learn more about the tools you need to combat the negative effects of stress on your body. |

    • EFMP families are invited to attend a free Paint and Design Night on April 15. Space is limited and registration is required. |
