Celebrating its 33rd year, the MCAS Cherry Point Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament is one of the oldest in the area. This year’s tournament has been scheduled for September 17-19, 2021.
The traditional Pairing Party is Friday, September 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Miller’s Landing. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and cold beverages, while meeting your teammates and competitors for the weekend. There will also be door prizes.
The format of play for Saturday will be Best Ball, using the best net ball of the foursome, with each player getting 80% of their handicap. On Sunday, the format of play will be Superball – Captain’s Choice (no handicaps).
Teams will be formed using a computerized blind draw system. We reserve the right to rank all participants into their A, B, C, and D categories by golf ability using their United States Golf Association handicaps as the key criteria.
Tournament play begins on Saturday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Each player is invited to have breakfast between 7:00-8:30 a.m., as well as lunch after their round of play between 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Sunday’s tee time is also 8:30 a.m. with breakfast provided between 7:00-8:30 a.m., and lunch after play between 12:30-1:30 p.m. Participants are invited to attend the awards ceremony immediately after lunch.
Goody bags, a sleeve of golf balls, and a tournament commemorative hat are all included.
Cost of the tournament is $110 per person for members and active duty, $140 for non-members.
Mulligans will be available for $5 per day, which include both a Mulligan and a Tee-Buster. Only one Mulligan per player.
Deadline for registration is Wednesday, September 15 or when the tournament reaches capacity of 100 players, whichever comes first.
How do I get base access if I am not an Authorized Patron?

Can I cancel or request a refund?
Yes, you may cancel your order and request a refund up until September 16 at 12:00 p.m.
What about inclement weather?
In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled and all participants will be notified. You may request a refund at this time, or continue with your registration.
