Semper Fit operates a variety of programs for the benefit and enjoyment of the Marines, sailors and civilians at Cherry Point. These programs include Adult and Youth Sports, Health Promotion & Education, Fitness and Wellness, Aquatics, Personal Training, Health Fairs and Races.
The Paramobile is a piece of equipment that can give wheelchair users an unimagined level of freedom and independence. It can be used to play sports and other leisurely activities.
MCCS Semper Fit at MCAS Cherry Point now has a Paramobile unit for wounded warriors or disabled authorized patrons to utilize for recreational activity aboard the air station. It is on display and located in the Marine Dome, Building #287. Personnel wanting to utilize this equipment may come by the Marine Dome to receive instruction on usage and check out.
