Our event planning and catering staff will work with you to customize this memorable experience. We can provide catering services for buffet-style or sit-down dinners, or purely social receptions. The chapel is available to rent for the ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony at Miller’s Landing

Ceremonies can be indoor or outdoor at Miller’s Landing. Most preferred is an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. Inside Miller’s Landing, there are three 1,750 square foot ballrooms that can be opened into one large ballroom. As a back up for inclement weather, one ballroom is reserved for the ceremony. Typically the other two ballrooms are for the reception.

Miller’s does not provide a wedding coordinator to orchestrate the wedding; this is the responsibility of the wedding party.

Please remember to have the gate access form filled out and submitted 10 days prior to your rehearsal date.

Outside Ceremony fees:

  • Chair set up is $1.50 per chair.
  • Wedding party must provide wedding arbor/arch. They can be rented locally in Morehead City, Havelock or New Bern.
  • Wedding party must provide and set up the runner and any decorations desired (bows, flowers, etc).
  • Wedding party must provide a DJ or other arrangements for music. For outdoor music, DJ’s will need their own PA system.

Chairs will be set up four hours before the event. If inclement weather is imminent, the decision to do the outside ceremony will have to be made before the chairs are set up. If the outside set up is done and it has to be moved inside, there will be an additional charge of $300.00 for the inside ballroom to be set up.

Please make sure to schedule a rehearsal for the night before the wedding day, 1.5 hours will be allotted for the rehearsal.

Inside Ceremony fees:

  • One Ballroom – set up fee is $300.00. This includes the stage and chairs. You may choose from our regular padded chairs or white folding chairs. If chair covers are desired, they can be rented and shipped in (Miller’s works with Chair Covers Express; covers run approximately $3.00 each). If you would like chair covers and sashes put on, the fee is $1.50 per chair.
  • Wedding party must provide a DJ or other arrangements for music. The PA system in the ballroom can connect with the DJ’s computer and is available to use at no charge.
  • $1,000.00 for 3 ballrooms and the Cunningham bar. This includes set-up for tables and chairs.
  • $400.00 non-refundable deposit required to hold the date.
  • $300.00 for 1 ballroom. This includes set-up of chairs. (Delete stage as it currently states.)
  • You may choose from our regular padded chairs or white folding chairs. If chair covers are desired, they can be rented and shipped in (Miller’s works with Chair Covers Express; covers run approximately $3.00 each). If you would like chair covers and sashes put on, the fee is $1.50 per chair.

One ballroom can hold up to 160 people (140 comfortably) and a stage from 6′ x 8′ up to 24′ x 8′. The wedding party is responsible for decorating the room. Nothing can be attached to the walls. You will need to have your runner put down.

Please make sure to schedule a rehearsal for the night before the wedding day, 1.5 hours will be allotted for the rehearsal. You will have access to the room at 1100 the day of the wedding unless otherwise previously scheduled. There will be a fee of $25.00 per hour before 1100 for a staff member to open the building.


Wedding Reception at Miller’s Landing

Indoor wedding receptions can be booked for up to 300 people (three ballrooms). Most weddings are around 100 people and utilize two ballrooms for the reception. Dinners can be buffet-style or plated meals. Reception times are from 4:00pm – 10:00pm.  Additional time after 10:00pm is $100.00 per hour. This includes the use of the Cunningham lounge if needed.

Center pieces:

You must provide your own center pieces and they must be put on the tables by your group. Candles, Lights, Flowers, etc.

Plated meals:

Two ballrooms will seat up to 200 people (tables of 8) with a 20′ x 20′ dance floor, a cake table, a head/sweetheart table, and a DJ.

Buffet meals:

Two ballrooms will seat up to 130 people with a 20′ x 20′ dance floor, a buffet line, a head/sweetheart table, and a DJ. See standard set up for a buffet wedding with 120 people.

Reception set up fees for two ballrooms*:

*includes tables, chairs, silverware, china, gift table, cake table, and sign-in table

  • $300.00 per ballroom
  • $75.00 for dance floor
  • $75.00 for stage
  • $100.00 for AV if you do not have a DJ
  • $1.50 per chair to install chair covers and sashes (covers run approximately $3.00 each from Chair Covers Express)
  • $75.00 for portable bar set up. Bartender is $10.00 per hour for four hrs
  • Linens are $2.50 per person (includes underlay, overlay, napkins, cake table)
