Free testing services are provided to active duty Service members and include: DANTES (Defense Activity for Nontraditional Education Support), Armed Forces Classification and proctoring of exams. Family members, retirees and authorized civilians are eligible for educational counseling and college exam proctoring.
Our Tuition Assistance program is available to all active-duty Service members and can provide up to $4500 a year to assist you in meeting your goals. We also provide financial assistance to the spouses of active duty Service members and can help you understand how to take advantage of the GI Bill. We provide a variety of options to help you advance your career and education. The Cherry Point Testing Center along with the Craven Community College National Testing Center allows you to turn your experience into college credits and take college entrance exams, military classification testing, career testing or other adult-education tests.

The Transition Readiness Seminar is a 5-day mandatory program designed to ease the burden of transition by providing Services members and their families with employment, college, technical and entrepreneurial information and guidance. This interactive program will increase the Service member’s knowledge and confidence through active participation.
The military lifestyle demands a lot of moving and that presents many challenges your family members. One of the largest is staying employed and building a career while moving from location to location. Our Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP) provides classes, resources and support that will help your family members land their next jobs.
The mission of the I&R Program is to support Service members and their families by helping them navigate through the military lifestyle. The I&R Specialist is able to provide information on programs, services and resources available to Service members and their families. The I&R Specialist is also the primary point of contact for all relocation assistance services aboard MCAS Cherry Point.

The Marine and Family Program’s Retired Services Office (RSO) delivers information and assistance to retirees and eligible family members from all branches of the US Uniformed Services.
